One of the advantages of implants manufactured by Straumann, which we will talk about today, is SLActive®—a special technology used to treat the implant surface.
This surface treatment technology leads to faster healing. Only Straumann can create such a surface.
SLActive® is hydrophilic, meaning blood cells immediately adhere to the implant surface, and the osseointegration process begins without delay. As a result, the healing time between the bone and the implant is reduced to just 3–4 weeks.
This means that permanent teeth can be placed on an SLActive® implant just 3–4 weeks after surgery.
Studies have also shown that in patients with risk factors—such as general diseases (e.g., diabetes, osteoporosis, blood disorders) or in active smokers—Roxolid® SLActive® implants perform significantly better in terms of healing.
To further demonstrate the excellence of Straumann implants, we present the results of a study commissioned by the Swedish government. The aim was to assess the long-term performance of various implants.
This study, which analyzed 11,311 cases, revealed that 10 years after implantation, Straumann implants had a success rate of 97–99%, the highest among all compared brands.
These factors highlight the innovation and superior quality of Straumann implants.
